Scholarships, Grants, Endowment Funds

We nurture families and children and strengthen our community through education. Every graduating senior from

our local school is given an opportunity to apply. West Yellowstone Foundation administers funds that

provide scholarship grants to individuals who have graduated from West Yellowstone High School to enable the

recipients to complete post high school education in the field of their choice at the school of their choice.

Scholarships are nondiscriminatory and awarded  and renewed on an annual basis. Contact your school

administration for more information. West Yellowstone Foundation supports our students in realizing

their potential  and building their future. We couldn’t do this without you.

We welcome innovative solutions, preventive actions are welcomed, and partnerships and collaborations are

highly encouraged. Other support such as partial funding, volunteers and in-kind gifts that

demonstrate community involvement will be considered. Projects that impact the largest number of individuals possible

with a modest investment of funds are preferred. Program development and capacity building activities are eligible.

Endowment Funds
Did you know that West Yellowstone Foundation has many endowments?

Giving to our endowments gives us a permanent, stable source of supporting our community now and forever!

Did you also know that a planned gift to our endowment can save you money on your state income taxes? Montana

is one of the few states in the nation that has an incentive for charitable giving.  The Montana Endowment Tax

Credit allows donors to pay less in Montana state income taxes when they give a qualifying planned gift to a

Montana charitable endowment. The incentive is 40% of the gift’s federal charitable deduction up to a

maximum $10,000 tax credit  per year per individual, and a credit of 20% of a direct gift by a qualified business

up to a maximum of $10,000 per year. For more information on how to join us in supporting this unique community
